'T Level Industry Placements take place over 315 hours, which is 45-days or approximately nine weeks. They take place over the two academic years and offer a longer, more structured placement to traditional work experience. The placements account for 20% of students’ learning time, with the remaining 80% spent in the classroom.

Each T-level, including the Industry Placement element, has been designed with employers to make sure young people finish their qualification with both the knowledge and skills they need to work in their chosen sector, whether they want to start work immediately or continue studying.
Industry Placements are a chance for young people to put the theory they’ve learnt in the classroom into practice, and to start building the skills they’ll need for their future career. Over the course of the placement they’ll try their hands at various roles in the business they’re placed into, learn how a modern workplace functions, build experience relevant to their chosen route and network with people within that sector.
