Digital Games Production

Digital Games Production – Extended Certificate (Equivalent to One A Level)

This course is designed for students with a strong interest in creating games and pursuing a career in the Interactive Entertainment Industry. It is a practical, skills-based qualification equivalent to one A Level, and should be taken alongside two other A Level courses.

What the Course Offers
Over two years, students will develop essential skills in:

  • Game concept and design using the Unity game engine
  • Coding and scripting for games
  • Building 3D models using Blender

You will:

  • Create 2 original games and produce professional-standard planning documentation
  • Create industry standard models that could be imported into a game engine
  • Build out an immersive 3D environment
  • Design concept art to take ideas from the development stage to production

This is not a course for those simply interested in playing games. It is intended for students who are serious about creating games, learning to use complex industry-level software and creatives who see themselves working in this industry later on.
