SJBC sixth form is a Roman Catholic school with a diverse, vibrant and cohesive community which was noted as a key feature in our last Ofsted inspection. Our sixth form provides a rounded and fulfilling experience. Academic study is integral to life at SJBC, however our students’ time with us is also enhanced beyond the classroom through our enrichment and graduation programmes, as well as our extracurricular offer.
Entrance to SJBC sixth form is based on GCSE grades and a formal interview with a member of the Senior Leadership Team. We are looking for students we are hardworking, dedicated and want to succeed academically.
Students accepted into the sixth form are expected to engage fully with the school ethos, whether they are, or are not of Catholic faith. We expect students to adhere to the SJBC student agreement, follow school rules, maintain the highest expectations of themselves and act as role models for the younger year groups.
Perspective students are encouraged to attend open days and evenings (confirmed dates can be found on the school calendar) prior to applying.
SJBC sixth form is easy to access using public transport, being close to two tube stations and many major bus-routes. There is no geographic catchment area, and any student living within a reasonable commute of Battersea can apply. SJBC sixth form is a Roman Catholic school, therefore priority is given to Catholic students. We also welcome students of all faiths and no faith.
