SJBC PRIZE EVENING 2019

Celebrating Academic Success and Commitment to School Life

St John Bosco College were proud to welcome ex Salesian College student (and distinguished civil servant) Lord Gus O’Donnell to our annual Prize Giving Evening as we celebrated student achievements in academia and ethos in school life. As Headteacher Mr Dunne explained: “(the event is) an opportunity for us to recognise the talent, energy, creativity and resilience of the wonderful young people that we are priviliged to work with here at SJBC. It also gives the whole school community a chance to show the young people in our care that they are valued, fulfilling Don Bosco’s maxim that we must ensure that our children ‘know that they are loved.’”

The awards presented reflected both academic achievement and also wider qualities such as commitment to school life, endeavour and sporting prowess. The school is particularly proud of the excellent GCSE results achieved by our year 11s this summer, many of whom had to overcome significant hurdles to achieve these.
