School Council

Student voice and feedback is very important at St John Bosco College. We regularly survey our students to find out what is going well and what we need to improve on further. This feeds into whole school priorities and whole school improvement.

Our students are at the heart of everything that we do and that is why student leadership, particularly the School Council, is so important to us. Our School Council plays an active role in the everyday running of the school. Our school rules were written by the School Council and the Council regularly gives the School Leadership Team feedback on ideas and how to make the school better – for example on teaching and learning, form times, the canteen, and student and parent communication. The School Council is also the source of some great initiatives that make our school community stronger and unique such as the annual summer Drop Down Week and the Whole School picnic.

All year groups are represented in our School Council as well as key staff groups. We meet at least once every half-term.
